A Complete Guide to Disney’s Riviera Resort at Walt Disney World

IS DISNEY’S RIVIERA RESORT WORTH THE SPLURGE? DISCOVER WHAT MAKES THIS EUROPEAN-INSPIRED DELUXE RESORT SO SPECIAL!
After spending four nights at Disney’s Riviera Resort, I can confidently say it’s become one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World! Between the beautiful accommodations, peaceful atmosphere, and convenient Skyliner access, Riviera offered everything my family loves about a Disney vacation.
I’ve previously booked clients at Riviera who have raved about their experiences, but this was our first time staying there ourselves. And after experiencing it firsthand, I completely understand the appeal!
Inspired by the French and Italian Rivieras, this Deluxe Villa Resort combines European-inspired elegance with subtle touches of Disney magic. What impressed me most was how easy it was to enjoy busy days in the parks and then return to a resort that felt like a relaxing getaway. Riviera truly delivers the best of both worlds.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through:
- Room Types
- Dining and Amenities
- Pricing and Value
I’ll also share our family’s firsthand experiences and a few helpful tips to consider before booking your stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Resort History and Theme

Disney’s Riviera Resort brings the beauty and elegance of the European Riviera to Walt Disney World. Inspired by the coastal destinations of France and Italy, the resort features grand architecture, beautiful gardens, and a sophisticated atmosphere with subtle touches of Disney magic throughout.
Unlike some of Disney’s more colorful and heavily themed resorts, Riviera takes a more understated approach. Its elegant furnishings, fountains, and peaceful outdoor spaces make it feel like an upscale European getaway.
During our stay, I especially loved how luxurious the resort felt without being overly formal. There were plenty of families enjoying the property, but it still maintained a relaxed atmosphere that made returning from the parks something to look forward to.
The Origins of Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort officially opened on December 16, 2019, as the 15th Disney Vacation Club resort. It was also the first new dedicated DVC resort built at Walt Disney World since Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort opened in 2004.
The resort’s inspiration comes from Walt and Lillian Disney’s travels throughout Europe, particularly along the Mediterranean coastline. Walt developed a love for the region’s art, architecture, and culture, which Disney incorporated into the resort’s design.
Riviera was designed to capture the elegance of early 20th-century European hotels while offering modern accommodations and amenities. As a Deluxe Villa Resort, it features everything from cozy Tower Studios for two guests to spacious three-bedroom Grand Villas for larger families.
Located near Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Riviera also benefits from its own Disney Skyliner station, providing convenient transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
Theming at Riviera Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort combines European-inspired architecture with Disney’s signature attention to detail. Grand archways, decorative fountains, elegant terraces, and beautifully landscaped gardens create a setting that feels distinctly different from many other Walt Disney World resorts.
Inside, the resort features a mix of classic and modern furnishings, along with an impressive collection of Disney artwork. You’ll find familiar characters reimagined in artistic styles inspired by the French and Italian Rivieras. The artwork feels more like something you’d find in a European gallery than a traditional Disney hotel.
One of my favorite features was the resort’s incredible mosaic artwork. Along the walkway leading toward the Skyliner, you’ll find two large mosaic murals inspired by Peter Pan and Tangled. These colorful, detailed works of art are absolutely beautiful and make a wonderful backdrop for vacation photos.
Artwork is such an important part of Riviera’s identity that the resort even offers an art scavenger hunt. During a previous visit, our family picked up a scavenger hunt guide from the Disney Vacation Club desk and spent time exploring the artwork throughout the property.
What I loved most about Riviera’s theming was how peaceful and luxurious everything felt. The Disney touches were still there, but they blended naturally into the elegant surroundings. It felt like a beautiful resort that happened to be at Walt Disney World, rather than an extension of the theme parks.
Room Accommodations

Disney’s Riviera Resort offers a variety of accommodations for couples, families, and larger groups. As a Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, Riviera features everything from compact studios designed for two guests to spacious multi-bedroom villas with full kitchens and separate living areas.
One thing that sets Riviera apart is its thoughtful use of space. Many of the rooms feature pull-down beds that allow guests to enjoy comfortable sleeping arrangements without sacrificing valuable living space during the day.
During our four-night stay, we booked a Preferred View Deluxe Studio through our Disney Vacation Club membership. I was incredibly impressed with the room’s layout, beautiful furnishings, and spacious feel.
TRAVELISTA TIP: Although the Riviera Resort is a Disney Vacation Club resort, you don’t have to be a member to stay at the Riviera! Guests can book available accommodations through Disney or with a Disney travel advisor.
Tower Studio
Unique to Disney’s Riviera Resort, Tower Studios are designed specifically for one or two guests. These compact accommodations feature a queen-size Murphy bed that folds into the wall, creating additional living space when it’s not being used.
Tower Studios include a small kitchenette area with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker, along with a bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. Each studio also has a private balcony.
These rooms are a great option for couples or solo travelers who want to enjoy Riviera’s Deluxe Resort amenities without booking a larger villa. However, their smaller size may feel limiting for guests who prefer more room to spread out.
Deluxe Studios
Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Riviera Resort accommodate up to five guests and offer considerably more space than the Tower Studios.
Each Deluxe Studio features:
- One queen-size bed
- One queen-size Murphy bed that folds down over the sofa
- One single pull-down bed
- A kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, small refrigerator, sink, and coffee maker
- A split bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate shower/tub combination
- A private balcony or patio
Deluxe Studios are available with Resort Views or Preferred Views, with Preferred View rooms overlooking areas such as the courtyard, lake, pools, landscaping, or Skyliner.
Our family stayed in a Preferred View Deluxe Studio on the seventh floor, and we absolutely loved it!
We requested the west side of the resort because we wanted to be closer to the Skyliner station. Since two of our park days involved Skyliner transportation, the location was especially convenient.
Inside, the room had a spacious entryway with a closet where we could store our luggage. There was also plenty of room to keep our shoes and bags organized without cluttering the main living area.
The kitchenette was another feature we really appreciated. We brought breakfast foods and snacks from home, and having a microwave made it easy to prepare quick meals in our room. My daughter especially loved being able to make her own macaroni and cheese cups whenever she wanted!
During the day, we kept the queen-size Murphy bed folded into the wall, which gave us a comfortable sofa and sitting area. There was also a small dining table with two chairs and additional storage tucked into the furniture.
Our family prefers to unpack rather than live out of suitcases, even on shorter trips. I loved that the room had enough storage to keep everything organized while still feeling spacious.
One of my favorite features was the split bathroom. One side had a walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead and handheld shower, while the other included a vanity and shower/tub combination.
Having two separate showers made getting ready so much easier! My daughter preferred the traditional shower, while I took full advantage of the rainfall shower. It was one of those little luxuries that made the room feel extra special.
But the highlight of our Deluxe Studio was definitely the balcony.
Our seventh-floor room overlooked the Skyliner and offered incredible views of EPCOT. We could see Spaceship Earth, several World Showcase pavilions, and even the Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios in the distance.
On our final evening, we decided to watch EPCOT’s fireworks from our balcony. To our surprise, we could also see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After happening in the distance!
It was such a memorable way to end our stay.
TRAVELISTA TIP: If proximity to the Skyliner is important to you, consider requesting a room on the west side of Riviera Resort. While room requests are never guaranteed, this location worked wonderfully for our family.
1 Bedroom Villa
For guests who want more space and the comforts of home, Riviera’s One-Bedroom Villas are an excellent option.
These villas accommodate up to five guests and include a separate bedroom with a king-size bed, along with a queen-size pull-down bed and single pull-down bed in the living area.
Unlike the studios, One-Bedroom Villas feature a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. They also include a dining area, a washer and dryer, and a spacious bathroom with a soaking tub and separate walk-in shower.
The additional space and kitchen amenities make these villas especially appealing for families planning longer stays or those who prefer preparing some of their own meals.
2 Bedroom Villa
Disney’s Riviera Resort also offers Two-Bedroom Villas that accommodate up to nine guests.
These spacious accommodations feature a primary bedroom with a king-size bed, a second bedroom with two queen beds, and additional pull-down sleeping arrangements in the living area.
Guests also enjoy two bathrooms, a full kitchen, separate living and dining spaces, and an in-room washer and dryer.
Two-Bedroom Villas are a wonderful option for larger families or groups traveling together who want shared gathering spaces without giving up the privacy of separate bedrooms.
3 Bedroom Villas
For larger groups looking for the ultimate Riviera experience, the Three-Bedroom Grand Villas accommodate up to 12 guests.
These impressive accommodations feature three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a spacious living room, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen.
They also include an in-room washer and dryer and private outdoor space overlooking the resort’s beautiful surroundings.
Grand Villas are especially appealing for extended families or groups celebrating a special occasion who want to stay together while enjoying the comfort and convenience of a luxury vacation villa.
With accommodations ranging from intimate Tower Studios to expansive Grand Villas, Disney’s Riviera Resort offers options for a wide variety of travel styles. And after experiencing the Deluxe Studio firsthand, I can say that the thoughtful layouts and comfortable furnishings are a big part of what made our stay so enjoyable.
TRAVELISTA TIP: For more options, there are several resorts on property that offer 3 bedroom villas, including both Disney’s Animal Kingdom Jambo House and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Kidani Village.
Resort Transportation to Parks

One of the biggest perks of staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort is its convenient location and transportation options. With its own Skyliner station and complimentary bus service, getting to the parks is easy.
During our stay, we especially loved having the Skyliner just a short walk from our room. It made traveling to the parks simple while giving us more time to enjoy the resort.
Disney Skyliner Transportation
Disney’s Riviera Resort has its own Disney Skyliner station, offering complimentary transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
Guests traveling to EPCOT can board directly at Riviera and ride to the International Gateway entrance near World Showcase. To reach Hollywood Studios, guests transfer at the nearby Caribbean Beach Resort station.
The Skyliner also connects guests to Pop Century and Art of Animation.
The Skyliner is my favorite way to travel around Walt Disney World! Having a station right at Riviera was a huge perk for our family.
We used it for two park days and experienced virtually no waits. Transfers were easy, and the short walk from our room made it especially convenient.
TRAVELISTA TIP: Allow extra time when traveling to EPCOT during busy mornings. Guests boarding at Caribbean Beach remain in their gondolas as they pass through Riviera. This means you may need to wait for an available cabin.
Disney Bus Transportation
Disney’s Riviera Resort also offers complimentary bus transportation to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and the water parks.
The bus stop is located near the resort’s main entrance, making it convenient to access from the lobby.
Buses generally arrive about every 20 minutes, although wait times vary. Guests can check estimated arrival times through the My Disney Experience app.
TRAVELISTA TIP: If you’re aiming to catch a specific show or reservation, give yourself plenty of time to navigate transportation and get through park security.
Tips for Navigating Disney Transportation
Riviera’s Skyliner access makes getting around Walt Disney World convenient, but a little planning can make your travels even easier. Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for transportation updates and estimated bus arrival times.
If you have dining reservations or Lightning Lane return times, allow extra travel time. This is especially important during busy mornings and around park closing.
Keep in mind that the Skyliner may have longer waits during peak travel times. Guests heading to EPCOT should also remember that the Skyliner arrives at the International Gateway entrance, not the park’s main entrance.
TRAVELISTA TIP: The Disney Skyliner temporarily closes during lightning and certain severe weather conditions, including high winds. When this happens, Disney typically provides alternative bus transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Always check with a cast member for current transportation arrangements.
Resort Shopping Options

Disney’s Riviera Resort has a charming gift shop called La Boutique, located just off the main lobby. You’ll find Riviera-branded clothing, Disney souvenirs, MagicBands, pins, and other vacation essentials.
The shop also carries grab-and-go snacks, refrigerated drinks, breakfast items, and a small selection of groceries. You’ll even find basic toiletries and medications if you’ve forgotten something at home.
We stopped into La Boutique a couple of times during our stay. I especially loved browsing the Riviera-specific merchandise, and we ended up bringing home a Riviera souvenir mug!
While La Boutique isn’t a particularly large gift shop, it offers a nice selection of souvenirs and everyday essentials. It’s a convenient stop without having to leave the resort.

Resort Dining Options

One of the things I loved about Disney’s Riviera Resort was the variety of dining experiences available right on the property. You’ll find everything from signature dining with incredible views to casual meals and poolside favorites.
During our stay, we made a point of trying several dining locations. We’d previously enjoyed Topolino’s Terrace, so we focused on exploring the resort’s other options this time.
Here’s a closer look at the dining options available at Riviera. You can also check Disney’s official Riviera dining page for current menus and restaurant information.:
Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera
Located on the resort’s rooftop, Topolino’s Terrace offers one of Disney World’s most unique dining experiences. The restaurant features beautiful views and a menu inspired by French and Italian cuisine.
Breakfast is a character dining experience called Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends. Guests can meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy dressed in adorable outfits inspired by different artistic professions.
Our family enjoyed breakfast here during a previous visit to Riviera. The food was fantastic, and we absolutely loved the character interactions! It’s one of those meals I’d happily recommend to families looking for a special Disney dining experience.
In the evening, Topolino’s transforms into an upscale signature restaurant featuring French- and Italian-inspired dishes. Characters do not appear during dinner, making it a more sophisticated dining experience.
TRAVELISTA TIP: Topolino’s Terrace is a popular character breakfast, so advance dining reservations are highly recommended. When you book your Disney vacation with me, I can help coordinate your dining reservations!
Primo Piatto
Primo Piatto is Riviera’s main quick-service restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s located near the main pool and offers both indoor seating and convenient grab-and-go options.
The menu includes hot meals, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and kid-friendly favorites. There’s also a refrigerated section with fresh fruit, drinks, and other snacks.
We ordered dinner from Primo Piatto on our first night at the resort. After a busy park day, we decided to use mobile ordering and enjoy dinner in our room.
I ordered a pasta dish, while my husband enjoyed a meatball sandwich. My daughter chose a chicken sandwich, and we all appreciated having a convenient dinner option.
We also stopped by for breakfast treats during our stay. My daughter especially loved the chocolate croissants and ended up getting them twice!
While we enjoyed the food, I would have liked to see a little more variety on the quick-service menu. Still, Primo Piatto was convenient for a quick meal without leaving the resort.
TRAVELISTA TIP: Use mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app to order ahead and select a pickup time. It’s especially convenient when you’d rather enjoy dinner in your room after a long park day.
Bar Riva
Located beside the main pool, Bar Riva offers a more relaxed, sit-down dining experience than your typical Disney pool bar.
Instead of simply walking up to order drinks, guests can grab a table and enjoy service from the waitstaff. The menu features casual meals, appetizers, and a selection of cocktails, beer, and other beverages.
We stopped at Bar Riva for lunch after spending some time at the pool. I ordered the grilled chicken pasta salad, which was delicious! The portion was huge, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
I especially appreciated that Bar Riva felt like a small restaurant rather than just a poolside drink stand. It was a comfortable place to sit down, relax, and enjoy lunch without leaving the pool area.
Le Petit Café
Located just off the main lobby, Le Petit Café is a charming spot for coffee, pastries, and sweet treats.
In the morning, you’ll find specialty coffees, breakfast pastries, and other light options. Later in the day, the café offers beautifully presented desserts inspired by European flavors.
We stopped here for breakfast during our stay. My husband ordered coffee, while I tried the steak-and-egg croissant.
I enjoyed the sandwich overall, but it had quite a few caramelized onions. Since the sandwiches were premade, I couldn’t request mine without them.
Seating inside the café is limited, although there are comfortable lounge areas nearby. We noticed several guests relaxing and working on laptops in the adjoining sitting area.
Poolside Gelato Cart
Riviera also has a gelato cart located between the main pool and the leisure pool. It’s a convenient place to pick up a frozen treat while enjoying the resort grounds.
We noticed the cart during our stay but didn’t get a chance to try it ourselves. Still, it’s a fun option to keep in mind for a warm Florida afternoon.
Resort Recreation & Amenities

Disney’s Riviera Resort offers a wonderful mix of relaxation and recreation for guests of all ages. Between the beautiful pools, family activities, and peaceful outdoor spaces, there’s plenty to enjoy without visiting the theme parks.
One of my favorite things about Riviera was how many spaces were designed for simply relaxing. It’s a resort where you’ll definitely want to make time to enjoy the amenities!
Water Fun at Disney’s Riviera Resort
🌊 Riviera Pool: The resort’s main pool features a zero-entry design, winding waterslide, and plenty of space for family fun. Lifeguards are on duty, and cast members host poolside games and activities throughout the day.
Younger children will love the nearby S’il Vous Play splash area. This interactive water playground features colorful fountains and play structures inspired by Disney’s Fantasia. It’s designed for children 48 inches tall and shorter.
The pool deck offers plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, tables, and comfortable covered seating. There’s also a whirlpool spa nearby for guests looking to unwind.
🌊 Beau Soleil Pool: For a quieter experience, the Beau Soleil Pool offers a more peaceful place to swim and relax. This leisure pool features an infinity-style edge, comfortable lounge seating, and a nearby whirlpool spa.
Our family visited the Beau Soleil Pool twice during our four-night stay. My daughter actually preferred it over the main pool because it was less crowded and quieter.
We also enjoyed the hot tub and had no trouble finding available seating at either pool.
TRAVELISTA TIP: When planning how many days to spend at Disney World, allow time to enjoy your resort. Riviera’s beautiful pools and relaxing atmosphere make a resort afternoon well worth including in your itinerary!
Sports and Recreation Adventures
Disney’s Riviera Resort offers several ways to stay active, get creative, or simply enjoy the beautiful grounds. Families can find activities throughout the resort without needing to leave the property.
☀️ Athlétique Fitness Center: Riviera’s fitness center features cardio equipment, strength-training machines, and free weights. It’s a convenient option for guests who want to maintain their workout routines during vacation.
☀️ Walking and Jogging Paths: Scenic pathways wind around the resort and connect to the neighboring Caribbean Beach Resort area. The waterfront views and landscaped grounds make them perfect for a morning walk or evening stroll.
☀️ Lawn Games: The outdoor courtyard features oversized chess, cornhole, and bocce ball for guests to enjoy. We loved seeing these activities available right outside the lobby.
☀️ Family Activities and Crafts: Riviera offers a variety of creative activities for families. During our visit, we explored an activity area featuring games, art projects, and ceramics that guests could paint.
A cast member was available to assist, and Disney movies were playing inside. It was a fun space for families looking for something different to do.
☀️ Art Scavenger Hunt: Artwork is a major part of Riviera’s identity. Guests can ask about the resort’s art scavenger hunt at the Disney Vacation Club desk.
Our family completed the scavenger hunt during a previous visit, and it was a fun way to explore the property.
TRAVELISTA TIP: Check the resort’s recreation schedule for available crafts, games, and activities. Some activities may require an additional fee, and offerings can vary throughout the week.
Entertainment Options
There’s plenty to enjoy at Riviera after a day in the parks. The resort offers family-friendly entertainment alongside beautiful spaces for a relaxing evening.
💥 Movies Under the Stars: Guests can enjoy complimentary outdoor screenings of Disney movies on select evenings. It’s a fun way to wind down after a busy day at the parks.
💥 Campfire Activities: Riviera offers campfire activities where guests can roast marshmallows and enjoy time together outdoors. Check the resort’s recreation schedule for current locations and times.
💥 Waterfront Relaxation: One of my favorite features was the variety of peaceful seating areas scattered throughout the resort.
Along the waterfront, you’ll find a sandy beach area with lounge chairs and covered seating. There are also swings, cozy garden spaces, and a fire pit area overlooking the water.
We especially loved how these spaces offered a quiet escape from the busier pool areas. The views across the water toward Caribbean Beach Resort made the setting even more relaxing.
TRAVELISTA TIP: Don’t overlook the resort’s outdoor seating areas! They’re perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, reading a book, or simply relaxing between park visits.
Other Onsite Amenities
Guest rooms at Disney’s Riviera Resort feature the Hey Disney! voice assistant for helpful information, entertainment, and Disney-themed interactions. Guests can use it for weather updates, wake-up calls, and other convenient features.
The resort also offers complimentary Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and Bell Services to make your stay more convenient. Guests staying in larger villas may also enjoy in-room washers and dryers.
As Disney Vacation Club members, we especially appreciate the convenience of the villa-style accommodations. Even our Deluxe Studio’s kitchenette made preparing snacks and simple meals easy.
What impressed me most about Riviera was how much thought went into creating spaces for relaxation. The resort felt luxurious and peaceful, even with plenty of families enjoying the amenities.
After more than a decade of Disney vacations, we’ve learned to value our resort time just as much as our park time. Riviera made it easy to enjoy both.
Resort Pricing and Value

Disney’s Riviera Resort falls into Disney’s Deluxe Villa Resort category, making it one of the more expensive accommodations at Walt Disney World. However, the beautiful surroundings, spacious rooms, and upscale amenities help justify the higher price.
What really sets Riviera apart is its convenient Skyliner access, luxurious accommodations, and peaceful atmosphere. Guests can enjoy excellent dining, beautiful pools, and plenty of relaxing spaces without leaving the resort.
As a Disney Deluxe Resort guest, you’ll also enjoy benefits like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at select parks. Complimentary Disney transportation and early access to Lightning Lane purchases add even more convenience.
Our family stayed at Riviera using our Disney Vacation Club membership, but I’ve also booked clients who paid regular cash rates. Their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many raving about their experiences.
Personally, I think Riviera’s value depends on the type of Disney vacation you’re planning. If you plan to spend every day in the parks from opening until closing, a Moderate or Value Resort may be a better fit.
However, if you want to balance park days with relaxation, Riviera is absolutely worth considering. We loved having time to enjoy the pools, dining, and resort atmosphere between our park adventures.
If you’re considering a stay at Riviera, I’d love to help you find the best available rates and plan your vacation! As a Disney travel professional, I can help you choose accommodations that fit your budget and travel goals.
Pros and Cons of Staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort

Trying to decide if Riviera is the right fit for your Disney vacation? Here’s a quick breakdown of the pros and cons to help you weigh your options:
Pros:
- Convenient Skyliner Access: Riviera has its own Disney Skyliner station, making travel to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios easy. It’s one of my favorite features of the resort!
- Beautiful, Spacious Accommodations: Riviera offers everything from cozy Tower Studios to spacious multi-bedroom villas. Many rooms feature kitchenettes or full kitchens, and larger villas include in-room laundry.
- Excellent Dining Options: From character dining at Topolino’s Terrace to casual meals at Primo Piatto, Riviera offers several convenient dining experiences.
- Relaxing Pool Areas: Guests can enjoy the family-friendly Riviera Pool or unwind at the quieter Beau Soleil Pool. Both offer beautiful surroundings and comfortable lounge seating.
- Elegant European-Inspired Theme: Riviera’s sophisticated design and subtle Disney touches create a peaceful atmosphere. It feels more like a luxury vacation resort than a typical Disney hotel.
- Deluxe Resort Perks: Guests enjoy Early Theme Park Entry, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on select nights, and complimentary Disney transportation.
- Beautiful Outdoor Spaces: The resort features landscaped gardens, waterfront seating, lawn games, and quiet places to relax. It’s a wonderful choice for families who want to enjoy time outside the parks.
Cons:
- Higher Price Point: As a Deluxe Villa Resort, Riviera can be expensive, especially during popular travel periods. The added cost may not be worthwhile if you plan to spend very little time at the resort.
- Limited Quick-Service Variety: While Primo Piatto offers convenient meals, I would have liked a few more menu options. Families staying for longer vacations may find the selection somewhat repetitive.
- Skyliner Weather Closures: The Skyliner is a fantastic transportation option, but it cannot operate during certain weather conditions. Guests may need to rely on alternative bus transportation during storms.
- Bus Transportation to Some Parks: While EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are easily accessible by Skyliner, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom require bus transportation.
- Less Traditional Disney Theming: Riviera’s Disney touches are subtle and artistic. Families who prefer oversized characters and colorful decorations may enjoy a more heavily themed resort.
For families looking for beautiful accommodations, convenient transportation, and a more relaxed Disney vacation, Riviera is an excellent choice.
After our four-night stay, it quickly became one of my favorite Disney resorts. I especially loved how easy it was to balance our park days with time to enjoy the resort itself.
